The Gregg Turk Foundation manages a collection of artwork for public display to support education in the arts. Gregg Turk Foundation also manages a collection of stock certificates for public display and a website devoted to educating and advocating sound stock market investing.
Patience, discipline, and the ability to control one’s emotions are necessary for success. A great first step is knowing that when we buy shares of a stock, we are buying a piece of a business. It is critical to understand that stocks aren’t what most people think. They aren’t pieces of paper that trade, symbols and numbers flashing on a screen, or squiggles on a chart. Stocks represent fractional interests in
businesses. Investors taking the perspective of business owners have a significant advantage, especially in times of extreme market fluctuations.
Absorbing simple lessons as above from legendary investors may be all that is necessary to reap satisfactory rewards. Compounding wealth intelligently benefits not only investors’ lives but the lives of many others. It’s a moral duty that ultimately serves all of society.
